Meet the Camera
- The learner will identify the difference between shooting RAW files and JPG files.
- The learner will demonstrate the use of the Rule of Thirds and other composition techniques while capturing images.
- The learner will practice importing images into Adobe Lightroom.
Using Program A/E Mode
- The learner will recognize the importance of setting the correct white balance and will identify how to modify white balance in Adobe Lightroom.
- The learner will recognize how ISO affects the quality of the images the camera captures and will understand the relationship between ISO and light sensitivity.
Using Shutter-Priority Mode
- The learner will produce a series of images demonstrating how shutter speed can be used to control motion in an image.
- The learner will practice with the Develop Module in Adobe Lightroom.
Using Aperture-Priority Mode
- The learner will produce a series of images demonstrating how the aperture can be used to control the depth of field in an image.
- The learner will practice rating and culling images in Adobe Lightroom.
Using Manual Mode
- The learner will recognize how to read the light meter in the camera and will demonstrate how to use the ISO, shutter, and aperture together to properly expose an image.
- The learner will produce a series of images demonstrating their understanding of how to properly expose an image in manual mode.
- The learner will assemble a portfolio of their best images in Adobe Lightroom and will export them for use in other media.
