Meet John!
John is one of the 300,000 new residents that move to Florida every year. He grew up in the Midwest, and while he hasn't experienced a hurricane, he's no stranger to powerful storms. John knows preparation is the key to surviving storms. Today he finished preparing the outside of his home by covering the windows with plywood and securing all loose items. Let's join John as he prepares for the hurricane to pass over his home.
In this simulation, you're going to help John navigate some common issues encountered the day after a hurricane moves through an area. Upon completion of this simulation, you will be able to:
1. Identify when food should be considered unsafe in a refrigerator without power.
2. Identify the best location to place a generator to avoid carbon monoxide poisoning.
3. Identify dangers that may be present under floodwaters after a hurricane.
